The Network Installation Company DataNexus collaborated with the European Commission to support a major event that took place in Athens, specifically at the Technopolis venue of the Municipality of Athens.
DataNexus, a specialized network installation company, collaborated with the European Commission to provide technical support for a high-profile event held in Athens, specifically at the Technopolis City of Athens.
As part of the Citizens’ Dialogue in Athens with Commissioner Corina Crețu, DataNexus was responsible for the installation of both wired and wireless network infrastructure.
The event presented particularly high technical demands, as it included live streaming through the European Commission’s official website, real-time interactive voting for approximately 300 attendees via a public Wi-Fi network, as well as help-desk support using a secured Wi-Fi network, dedicated to administrative tasks such as invitation barcode scanning and internal communications.
After thoroughly assessing the event’s requirements, DataNexus successfully implemented a robust wired and wireless network solution on-site. The work carried out included:

Installation of 200 meters of high-speed wired network to support the live streaming service.

Installation of Cisco Access Points to enable public Wi-Fi and support simultaneous real-time voting for all attendees.

Installation of a Cisco Router to ensure secure and reliable connectivity for the event’s secretariat and staff.
